ŚĀriputra (the Buddha’s disciple) said that “whoever understands dependent origination understands the teaching of the Buddha, and whoever understands the teaching of the Buddha understands dependent origination”
The illustration below explains the process right from birth (which is the beginning of suffering) to death which in turn pushes us into another life. This cycle of birth (hence suffering) can be broken once we stop reacting to sensations.
